Reverse pervasion (Jetsunpa)

Definition of being the reverse pervasion in the proof that sound is impermanent:
That ascertained by valid cognition as categorically non-existent in the discordant class in the proof that sound is impermanent by the person for whom it holds as the third mode of the sign in the proof that sound is impermanent.

There is a purpose for stating “non-existent” as part of the explained definition of reverse pervasion because it is in order to exclude “product” from being a contradictory sign in the proof that sound is impermanent.

That can be eliminated in dependence upon that because if it is a contradictory sign in the proof of that, then it is necessarily existent in the discordant class in the proof of that.

There is a purpose for stating “categorically” as part of the explained definition of that because it is in order to exclude “product” from being existent in some of the discordant class in the proof that sound is impermanent; just like the proof that the sound of a conch is arisen from effort using the sign “impermanent”.

There is a purpose for not stating “categorically/only” before “non-existent” but rather stating it after as part of the explained definition of that because it is in order to indicate that “arisen from effort” is the reverse pervasion in the proof that sound is impermanent.

If “categorically/only” is mentioned before “non-existent”, then a doubt thinking “Maybe ‘arisen from effort’ is not the reverse pervasion in the proof that the sound of a conch is impermanent” will arise because if it is stated as such, then since “arisen from effort” does not exist [on the basis of] “forest flower”, which is a concordant class in the proof that the sound of a conch is impermanent, the doubt thinking “maybe it is not non-existent in only the discordant class in the proof of that” will arise.

There is a purpose for stating “ascertained” as part of the explained definition of that because it is in order to exclude “product” from being an indefinite reason with contradictory remainder in the proof that sound is impermanent; just like the proof that the being opposite who speaks is not all-knowing using the sign “speaking”.
